Singapore-specific questions
What's the resident director requirement?+
Every Singapore Pte Ltd needs at least one director ordinarily resident in Singapore. Our Premium Plan includes the Local Nominee Director service for the first year.
Do I need to register for GST?+
GST registration is mandatory if your taxable turnover exceeds SGD $1 million in a 12-month period. Below that, voluntary. Current GST rate is 9%.
How attractive are the tax rates really?+
For new companies, the first SGD 100,000 of normal chargeable income gets 75% exemption, the next SGD 100,000 gets 50% exemption. Effective rate on the first SGD 200K is roughly 4.25β8.5%. There is no capital gains tax.
